When it comes to health insurance everyone is unhappy. Individuals wants to pay less-choice is limited and solutions from the government seem to be a case of hot potato.
Yet as strange as it sounds if you’re an expat this is not the case.
Expat’s have a unique circumstance where they can get medical insurance sometimes in their home countries but also International Carriers such as Geo Blue, International Medical Group and Cigna Global.
Evan Tunis, Owner of E&M Global explains, “For U.S. Citizens born in the United States you are limited to only certain plans during a 3-month period of the year. For an Expat, you can get one of these plans during open enrollment or an international policy at any time during the year and have access to more carriers.”
They way that Cigna Global and Geo Blue can do this is that they are based outside the United States so certain rules and ACA (affordable care act) regulations don’t apply.
